Trinitarian Soundings will fall silent for two weeks as I head to northern New Mexico for some time of renewal and writing. I will be working on a commentary on the Thessalonian Epistles for the BELIEF series. I will also be enjoying the beauty of the rugged southern portion of the Rockies.
My prayer is to return refreshed for the good work of Central and with significant progress on this writing project. Summer goes by very quickly, and I am grateful to have this extended time away this year. Wendell Berry says this of Sabbath: “the field is tilled and left to grace.” I trust practicing Sabbath will allow me to deepen my vocation through attentiveness to the ways of God.
