A Capstone Project and a ministry partner making differences

Please join me in congratulating Sylvester Holmes for the successful completion and approval of his MDiv Capstone Project “From Shacking Up to the Altar: Creating a Marriage Consulting Program for African Americans.” Through this project Sylvester created an original pre-marriage curriculum geared towards those who are exploring or transitioning from simply dating to preparing for marriage.

An organization worth knowing
For over 100 years The Baptist Home has served as a haven for those who want to age within a community marked by compassionate caring. The Baptist Home provides loving care to people in Missouri through three residential campuses located in Arcadia Valley, Chillicothe and the Ozarks. The Baptist Home’s ministry covers three areas of focus: resident care, educational development and global outreach. Through these three areas The Baptist Home is able to achieve its mission of reaching and ministering to aging humanity. You can learn more about the Baptist Home at www.thebaptisthome.org.

Also, the Baptist Home is currently seeking a Campus Director of Pastoral Care (Campus Pastor) for their Chillicothe, MO campus. The Campus Director of Pastoral Care provides pastoral care and spiritual support for aging adults, residents and caregivers. The Campus Pastor is also engaged in ministries to the aging in the larger community representing The Baptist Home. Therefore the Campus Pastor will serve a dual role as shepherd of The Baptist Home family and as an advocate for The Baptist Home in the community. If you are interested in receiving more information about this position, please contact Dr. Ron Mackey at 866-454-2709 or rmackey@thebaptisthome.org.
